Resonate Magazine
In my Typography 3 Course, each of us students needed to design a magazine based on a subject of our choice, containing three department articles and one feature article all relating to the topic, as well as a depiction of a possible mobile version of the magazine.
I chose to create "Resonate," an alternative music magazine with a feature article titled "Spindle," focused on the history of music listening devices.
After I decided on my subject and feature article, I designed my visual identity, creating a wordmark from the magazine's title reflecting the syncopation and passionate mood of alternative music. From there, I began working on the various departments and feature article, producing different variations over time with repeated analysis and critique from my professor and the other students. Finally, I produced this final version of the magazine and printed a completed copy, also incorporating an ad for the mobile version on the back cover.
